FAV are re-launching the fathers group service on July 4th 2016, which is now called Fathers Are Vital. The aim of the service is to address the issues around fatherhood, and to overcome potential barriers.

Over the last months we have been busy developing and improving our fathers support service, and developing key partnerships to help support the service users. We now have the capacity to help local fathers access professional support around the issues that men face as parents. We can help provide fathers access to services such as, family law, family mediation, education and training, securing employment, counselling and clinical support, finance and money management, and housing advice.

If you are currently working with any fathers that you believe could benefit from support, then please refer them into the service as we are currently  accepting new clients. Please see the flyer for further information.

The service will run from St. Wilfrid’s Enterprise Centre  (see address details below) Could you please disseminate through your networks to help us to get the message out there. I appreciate you help and would like to thank you for taking the time to share the information.

The Fathers Group is one of the core groups at Fathers Against Violence, and is the cornerstone of our vision.

The Fathers Group is about empowering and educating fathers to be positive role models to young men in their families and communities. The group is to start again January 27th  2015.
