Register Now for the Easter Holiday Camp

Great News!!

We have secured funding to be able to run a Holiday Camp at the Platt Lane Sports Complex at Easter – from Monday 4th to Friday 8th April.

The funding comes from the Government’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Scheme, provided via Manchester City Council and managed by MCRactive.

Families Against Violence and Claremont Youth Project, with support from Connecting Steps Manchester Project and Hide Away are running the Camp, using the same coaches who ran the Camps in the most recent school holidays.

We’ll run two Camps each day: a Junior Camp for 6- to 11-year-olds, from 10:00 to 15:00 and a Senior Camp, for 12- to 16-year-olds, from 11:30 to 16:00.  Registration will commence 15 minutes earlier that these start times each day.

The Camps are aimed at children living in Moss Side, Fallowfield, Hulme and Rusholme who are entitled to benefits-related free school meals. The programme will feature football-based fitness, skills and games and some classroom work. All participants will be provided with a hot lunch.

The event is free.

In response to feedback, the Junior Camp will provide the option of participating in multi-sports activities within the sports hall at Platt Lane.

The classroom sessions for the Seniors will feature Black History, gangs & street crime and some work on life skills.

Spaces on the Camps are limited so please book on early.  As usual we are using Eventbrite to help manage the registration process and the links to the relevant booking pages are as follows: –
